Rising Damp Treatment
There are various methods of treating rising damp, depending on the severity of the issue and the property. In all cases, we inject a damp proofing cream, either externally or internally. This cream spreads and bonds with the mortar, forming a new damp proof course that provides long-lasting protection.
In cases where the plaster has blown or is contaminated, in addition to the damp proof course (DPC), we strip it back to the brick, usually up to a height of 1.2 meters. We then attach a waterproof membrane and replaster. This process is known as tanking.
Effective Damp Prevention
Home and Dry Solutions offers the most effective damp prevention treatments. Our 25-year weatherproofing cream is BBA approved, once applied it penetrates deeply into the masonry before curing to form a colourless, breathable water repellent barrier. We provide professional damp treatments to ensure that your property is well-protected for years to come.

Condensation Solutions (dMEV)
A decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation (dMEV) system is a low energy, (less than £2 a year), continuous mechanical extract ventilation system designed to replace conventional fans to draw moisture laden air out of the wet rooms, providing a quieter and more efficient system.
Condensation Solutions (PIV)
The PIV works by gently introducing fresh, filtered air into the home. Air is drawn into the unit and is passed through filters before being pushed around the house.
As the air moves, it creates a pressure as it dilutes, displaces and eventually replaces the stale air in the home.
As air is constantly moving, humid air cannot settle on cold surfaces, such as windows or outer walls, meaning it cannot condensate.
Eventually, this humid air is forced out of natural leakage points throughout the home – such as windows, under doors or even through keyholes.
